CONTINUUM - Australian Band Profile

CONTINUUM  have had a rapid rise to prominence in the Australian Music scene in the last couple of years. Their live shows are proving increasingly popular in venues around Brisbane, Sunshine Coast and QLD. With a growing fan base and a solid  Album on the way, CONTINUUM  are striving forward doing what they're born to do, playing  hard and playing lots of shows. You may well know their songs but here are a few other bits and pieces of information on the band you may not know about.. He's a quick chat with the guys.

How was the name for the band chosen?
Darren came up with the name for the band who wanted a strong name that wouldn't become dated.

How long has the band been together?
The guys have known each other for between 5-7 years and started the band after realising they shared a talent and passion for music.

When did you realise you were on to something big with this band?
From the early days practicing together a strong set list was quickly developed which the band knew would be great for recording and performing live.

How has your music changed since you started playing ?   It's gone forward with more progressive opened up drumming and stronger guitar work.

What has been your biggest challenge as a band?
Getting everything set up and sorted was a challenge but it is very pleasing to have everything we need now.

What advice do you have for up and coming musicians who want to form their own band?   Find decent people that want to go in the same direction, be open to criticism and stay focussed.

What are your favourite venues to perform at and your favourite gig so far?
The Globe Theatre , in the vallley.. The sound  and foldback was fantastic.

What are most of the songs about?
Many of the songs are written about life and people’s way of life.

What can we expect from your upcoming shows?
Fresh sound, big guitar and powerpacked melodies.
